A few years ago a friend asked me to paint a picture for his friend with motor neurone disease.They wanted things to auction off to raise money. I asked what he liked and he said “Men, Beer and Swans,” The Swans are a Australian football team, but I wasn’t having any of that, I prefer real swans, and well I’m not too fussed on beer so I painted a sea of beer. But I was quite happy painting the bearded fellows.
